This is one of my all time favvv spots! My great grandma LOVED when I'd bring her out. One time out table wasn't quiet ready for our reservation so we were invited to have a drink in the tavern, which alone is remarkable!!! The ceiling fans, the fri night live music, the overall vibe says THIS IS GONNA BE A GOOD TIME! Anywho! So Grandma Dot and I sat down and the server offered to bring her a water (grandma at 91 and a true example of couth and Elegance). Grandma in her gorgeous and musical voice asked for a glass of Chardonnay haha (this is one of fondest memories here, grandma and I just laughed).
So in tradition and memory of Grandma Dot, I always start with a Chardonnay in the tavern. This occasion that prompted me to leave this review was just yet another fond memory of a great experience! Frances walked us through the menu, the meal, the many glasses of wine and a dreamy dessert. I just adore this place, this woman and this wine.
See you fine folks soon! -

This is a great place to have a nice relaxing dinner.
Food is presented beautifully and tasty as well.
Loved the appetizers we ordered.
The service is always so pleasant .
We enjoy going to the school house restaurant.
What I would like to try the next time is having lunch in the bar area... the burgers looked delicious!!! -

WOW!!!! What a cool first time experience.... Definitely had the old-school feel!!!!
We went on a rainy Sunday thinking it will be slow,,,NOT!!! I see now why.....
We waited to be seated at the bar. Love the decor.
Had a drink and met the bartender Ulyses. He said to try the teachers pet drink since I like strawberries....... he was spot on right!!! It was super pretty with sugar on the rim. Perfect drink if you like something sweet, like me:)
But let me tell you the food was soooooo gooood!!! Every time I take a bite of my steak I kept saying ....SO GOOD.......
Definitely will be back again and most likely would love to get married there!!! -

Stopped in for lunch at the School House before visiting the Grant Grove Trails. It's a genuine school house that has been converted into a restaurant and has a great nostalgic atmosphere. The staff members were great and provided a high level of service. I decided on the shrimp pasta dish which was sautéed in a light lemon cream / butter sauce, and tasted amazing! Great stop on your way up to the trail, or when you are coming back down.

This is such a cool restaurant. Nothing like it in the area. The brunch is my favorite but dinner is also great!! Recently had the breakfast enchiladas and I can't stop craving them!!
